Weekly homework

Homework is set on SATS Companion on a Wednesday and pupils have one week to complete it. Students that have not completed their homework by the following Thursday morning will be given additional time to finish it in their break and lunchtime.

Pupils will be set:

1x maths

1x reading

1x SPAG

There is also the option to complete science questions but these are not compulsory.

As well as this, 

Reading:

Pupils should be reading regularly at home and filling in their reading diary to record when they've read.

Students can fill their reading diaries in themselves (or an adults can) but an adult must sign the diary at least once a week.

Entries in reading diaries can include physical reading or Reading Plus (logins can be found in the front of your child's reading diary).

Maths:

Pupils can access Hit the Button or Times Tables Rock Stars at home. They can also work on their times tables by writing them down or saying them aloud if they do not have regular access to a tablet/iPad at home.

Logins for TTRS can be found in the front of your child's reading diary.

No login is needed for Hit The Button.

Times Tables Rockstars

Spellings:

A spelling list will be sent home each week (normally on a Friday).

There are ten spellings and two bonus words on each list, however 5 key spellings will be highlighted for your child to learn at home.

Pupils will only be tested on the highlighted spellings, but it would be beneficial to explore the other spellings where possible.

PE

This half term, PE will be on a Monday. Pupils should have their PE kit in school every week.
