Weekly homework

These are our weekly homework expectations:

Reading:

Pupils should be reading regularly at home. 

Reading diaries should be filled in at least 5 times per week. Students can complete their reading diaries themselves or an adult can write in them.

The minimum we ask is that an adult signs the reading diary once per week to acknowledge that children are filling them in accurately.

Entries in reading diaries can include physical reading or Reading Plus (logins can be found in the front of your child's reading diary).

Maths:

Pupils should be accessing Hit the Button or Times Tables Rock Stars at home. They can also work on their times tables by writing them down or saying them aloud if they do not have regular access to a tablet/iPad at home.

Logins for TTRS can be found in the front of your child's reading diary.

No login is needed for Hit The Button.

Times Tables Rockstars

Spellings:

A spelling list will be sent home each week (normally on a Friday).

There are ten spellings and two bonus words on each list, however 5 key spellings will be highlighted for your child to learn at home.

Pupils will only be tested on the highlighted spellings, but it would be beneficial to explore the other spellings where possible.

PE

This half term, PE will be on a Tuesday. Pupils should have their PE kit in school every week.
