    Spelling

In Year 3, the children will work on a spelling rule throughout the week. They will then have 4 spellings from that pattern to learn, as well as one spelling from the Year 3/4 word list (indicated by an asterisk). Children begin with 5 spellings. Each week, an additional 5 spellings are added until there is a total of 20 spellings. Once we reach 20 spellings, the first 5 spellings will be dropped from the list.
