We know that we are all kept safe and happy at school when we follow our school rules and when we are safe and happy, we can achieve even more!
At the start of every year, children help their teachers to write the most important class rules to make sure we can all work safely and sensibly together. We know these rules are important and we talk lots about what might happen if we break them. We display these in our classrooms.
There are lots of rules that the whole school has to follow. These keep us safe and happy wherever we are in school. They help us to know exactly what is expected of us and this makes it easy for us to make the right choices. All the adults who work with us, our teachers, teaching assistants, lunchtime supervisors and everyone else we meet around school, help us to understand and uphold our rules.
All pupils at our school know that there are consequences for the way that we behave. These are often really great! If we have worked hard or really shown we are upholding the values of the school then we can be rewarded with visits to the Head or Deputy Head Teacher. We might even get certificates or a postcard sent home! We also know that if we don’t uphold the rules in our school or classroom that there are consequences for that too. This makes sure everyone is treated fairly and has the same expectations.
