RE

Parable of the Good Samaritan (animation) - KS1 Religious Education - BBC Bitesize

Watch or read the story of the good Samaritan in a bible if you have one.

Focus on: Who is the hero in this Christian story? What does the story teach about helping? Jesus told the story to someone who needed to understand that anyone ‘in need’ was someone we should try to help.

Think about what we have learnt previously- Who should we help? How do we know if someone needs help? Who needs help in our class? Do we always have to ask for help to get it? Might a hero notice when someone is in need even if they didn’t ask?

Can you act out the story with someone at home? How did you feel when the people that walked past you didn’t help you?

Let's Move | Brain Breaks & Dance Song for Kids | Exercise & Fitness for Children | Jack Hartmann - YouTube

Use the video to warm up.

We have been thinking about determination and never giving up- set up a target like a hoop or a piece of paper and start by standing close to it and practice throwing a ball or a soft object in/on to it. Gradually move further away from it (it will get harder to hit) but keep trying and practicing hitting the target.

If you have a football you could try kicking it into a goal.

You can make up 3 exercises of your own to warm down, an example is stretching up high and then stretching down to touch your toes.
