Miss Moult’s Weekly Art Challenge

I’ve been so inspired by how amazing you’ve all been at completing Mr Stone’s weekly PE challenges that I’ve decided to completely copy him by setting a weekly art challenge for the duration of lockdown!

Each week there will be a different theme, and the winner will receive a prize of an artist’s set of Daler Rowney watercolour paints and a block of high quality paper to go with it. These are the materials that professional artists would use!

You’ll find details on the school website and in our newsletter, and our weekly winner will be announced and have their artwork published in the newsletter and on Twitter every Friday.

The submission deadline will be the end of the day on Thursdays.

Email your work to me at:

Art Challenge Week 4

This week's challenge is: Collage art

Create a picture using the collage technique, by cutting and gluing contrasting images and patterns to make a new image. Some amazing examples below.

Congratulations to Oliver in Year 4 who created this beautiful self-portrait inspired by Van Gough – I especially love the flowers in the background! Your prize is on the way to you.

Our Art leader has designed a curriculum that allows pupils to explore a variety of artists and style. By the end of their time here the children at St Barnabas will be able to talk about and recall works by different artists and from different eras.
