Respect for ourselves, each other, our school and the wider community is central to our school ethos. We value each other and show this in the way we listen, the way we act and speak to each other and the way we take care of ourselves and our environment.
Caring for our School:
We all take responsibility for caring for our school and school grounds. For example, when we have been lucky enough to have the Play Pod equipment out at lunchtime, we know we are all expected to tidy this away. We look after our equipment and shared spaces and in many classes we have monitors who take special responsibility for areas like Prayer Corners and Book Corners. We make sure we take care of our environment by putting our rubbish in the bins, by helping to recycle and not wasting the resources we are given.
Wearing our uniforms helps us feel part of a school family and this means it is really important that we keep our uniform neat and tidy. When people see us dressed smartly in our school uniform, they know that we respect our school and are proud to be a part of it!
Responsibilities around school:
Lots of our older children get involved in different jobs helping younger children around school. This includes being Playground buddies in Reception and Reading Buddies for Key Stage One children. These relationships create respect between different year groups as we get to know each other better and care about how we treat each other across the whole school.
